The “V” program marks a new era in winemaking at Whitehall Lane and the 2015 vintage is already being secretly inspected for a potential I, II, III or IV de V red wine. While the varietals will always remain secret, the experience you have with them will not. Proprietor Tom Leonardini Sr. and winemaker Jason Moulton present two exclusive wines. They made both of these wines in complete secrecy, selecting individual barrels from two of the five Bordeaux red varietals at Whitehall Lane. One wine is made from one of the five Bordeaux grapes (I de V), and the other is a blend of two Bordeaux grapes (II de V).

Notes: "This wine looked terrific, with classic graphite, black currant, unsmoked cigar tobacco, pen ink and licorice.  It is full-bodied and fleshy, with oodles of black fruits, a touch of barrique and a long finish.  Drink it over the next 15-20 years." - Robert Parker

Shipping Notes: Due to the delicate nature of this wine, two-day shipping is recommended for all shipments.

Vintage: The growing conditions of 2014 were beyond ideal, with lots of sunny warm days and cool nights throughout the Spring and Summer. September was also warm, allowing the fruit to fully ripen with outstanding flavors.

Wine: The 2014 II de V is made of two of the five Bordeaux grapes, and those varietals will forever remain a mystery.

Notes: "This looks to be an impressive proprietary blend, with a dense ruby/purple color and loads of spring flowers intermixed with blackberries, cassis, coffee bean, white chocolate and a touch of background oak.  It is lusty, layered, plush, and medium to full-bodied with light tannin.  Drink it over the next 15 or so years." - Robert Parker
